How much money can apps make?

There is a lot of money in apps, billions of dollars in fact with a lot of this money being made by specific types of apps such as entertainment and games. In a 2019 study of the top 200 apps on the app store earned on average $82,500 a month, and apps within the top 800 averaged $3,500 a month.
